Kingston Mosque was founded in 1979 and converted into a purpose-built mosque in 1985. It currently accommodates more than 800 worshippers, several from surrounding areas.
Mission of Kingston Mosque
Upholding Core Values
We believe that the fundamental purpose of Kingston Mosque is to express the sentiment of the final testament to mankind where the fruits of tawhid – (Abrahamic) Monotheism, birr – righteousness, taqwa – God consciousness, Ihsan – striving for perfection and makarim’l akhlaq – ethics of the highest order are evident for all to see.
Following the Prophetic Example
Striving for Excellence in Conduct and Practice
As Muslims, we strive to be part of a greater cause, and in aspiring to the perfect example of the Prophet S.A.W (peace and blessings be upon him) we recognize the need for a center from where righteousness, & activism emanate, as it did from the Prophetic Mosque.
A Hub for the Community
Fostering Unity, Support, & Collective Growth
This center seeks to serve as a hub in the southwest of London for the wider Muslim community, built on a cogent Islamic practice that meets the contemporary intellectual, spiritual, and social needs of British Muslims and wider society.
Make a Donation
“And those who spend in charity will be richly rewarded - Al Qur’an 57:10
